CCSD93 will host age-appropriate programs for 4th-8th grade students in September and October designed to equip them with positive, practical mental health resources. The programs will be presented by NAMI DuPage, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness

As part of CCSD93’s ongoing boundary review process, we invite parents/guardians, staff and community members to attend one of two identical Community Input Nights to learn more about the work underway and provide feedback on two boundary concepts currently being considered.

Kindergarten Readiness Days have concluded, and your child’s teacher placement for 2026-27 is finalized. Please follow the directions below to view your child’s teacher in TeacherEase, CCSD93’s student information system.

ENTERING School Beginning August 21

Students should arrive at school between 8:35-8:40. All students will enter through the front doors starting tomorrow (8/21). This includes kindergarten. Teachers will not be lined up to retrieve students. They will meet them at the classrooms. We will still have support staff guiding students through the hallways for those new to the building. All students will enter the school through the front doors. Kindergarten students will have a full day (8:45 - 3:30) tomorrow.

Dear School District 93 Families,

We’ve been made aware that some families may be encountering issues adding funds to their MySchoolBucks accounts through the MySchoolBucks app to pay for CCSD93 meal service.

If you encounter this issue, here are a few ways to resolve it:

• Use the MySchoolBucks website: MySchoolBucks has confirmed that parent deposits are active and working on their website.
• Refresh the app: Sign out of the MySchoolBucks app completely and sign back in. The app may still contain saved account information from the previous system.
• Reinstall the app if needed: If signing out and back in does not resolve the issue, uninstall and reinstall the MySchoolBucks app, then sign back in.

I’m excited to introduce Heritage Lakes' new Husky logo! During the 2025-26 school year, students and staff shared their feedback on a variety of Husky logo concepts and helped shape how our school is represented visually. Their input guided the design of a logo that represents Heritage Lakes and provides a consistent visual identity moving forward

Fees for the 2026-27 school year have been applied to your TeacherEase account. This may include fees from previous years and/or additional registration purchases. Please follow the directions below to complete payment by August 11.

The latest CCSD93 Community Connections newsletter was recently delivered to all mailboxes throughout the district’s boundaries.

CCSD93 elementary school families can order pre-packaged school supply kits through SchoolKidz for the 2026-2027 school year by June 21, 2026!

Key dates for the new school year include new student orientation and student placement/busing notifications on August 12, Meet the Teacher events on August 18, and the first day of school for Grades 1-8 on August 19. Kindergarten will follow a shortened schedule on August 19 and 20 before transitioning to full days on August 21. Preschool Meet the Teacher will be held on August 20, and preschool classes begin on August 24.

We hope you can join us for open house on Thursday 4/30/26 from 5:30-6:30. Open house is a great opportunity to see your child's classroom and view some of their work that is displayed.

Online registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open! If you haven’t already, please log in to your TeacherEase account and register your student(s) as soon as possible so that we can best prepare your child’s educational experience for next year. Please register no later than April 30, 2026.

Please join us in the Innovation center at Heritage Lakes for tonights PTA meeting at 6:00 pm. 

Your child will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) starting next week. The IAR is a state assessment that focuses on how our students are performing relative to the Illinois Math and Reading Standards. The IAR consists of two separate English language arts assessment sessions and three separate math assessment sessions that last 60-90 minutes each.

CCSD93 Kindergarten Registration will be held online at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26 at www.ccsd93.com/kindergarten.

If your child will be the age of 5 by September 1, 2026 and you live within Community Consolidated School District 93 (CCSD93)’s boundaries, you are invited to attend virtual Kindergarten Registration online Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m. at www.ccsd93.com/kindergarten.

Heritage Lakes is participating in the Cougars Reading Club, a reading incentive program sponsored by the Kane County Cougars baseball team. Your child will have the opportunity to improve his or her reading skills while earning a free ticket to a Cougars game, enjoying a free hotdog drink at the game.

CCSD93’s award-winning Early Childhood Center (ECC) offers a play-based, nurturing environment where 3- and 4-year-olds learn through exploration, develop independence, strengthen problem-solving skills, build confidence and practice positive group interactions.

Student Council was able to collect over 3,700 snacks through our snack drive! All teachers were provided with snack bags for students who do not have a snack at school. Thank you to all who contributed!

To improve how we communicate with you, we’ve updated the phone number we use to send text messages. From now on, our standard text messages will be sent using the local 10-digit phone number: 630-326-6532.

If you are donating items for the Halloween Parties or a room parent who is running a party you can drop off items during the day before the party and we will make sure we run them down to the classroom. Please tape a note with the teachers name on them so we can ensure that we get them to the correct room.

The Halloween Parade will take place on Friday, October 31 (weather permitting) at 2:10. Halloween classroom parties will begin after the parade. We are hopeful for good weather, for the Halloween Parade.

On Friday 9/26/25, our school will conduct CCSD93’s annual Run-Hide-Fight Drill, required by the Illinois State Board of Education. This drill prepares students and staff for the unlikely event of an intruder entering the school.

This is a reminder that Wednesday, 9/24/25, is an Early Release Day in CCSD93. Elementary students will begin school at their regular time (8:45 a.m.) and be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

We would like to thank the PTA for purchasing a Gaga pit for the school! Many students enjoyed time playing and or learning about Gaga Ball!

The first PTA meeting of the year will take place in the Husky Den at Heritage Lakes on Monday 9/15/25 at 6:00. We hope you will join us.

The first three days of school are August 20, 21, and 22. Students should arrive at school between 8:35-8:40.

A big component of this is mental health. We know it can be difficult to know where to start when looking for mental health resources. This is why CCSD93 is thrilled to partner with an organization called Referral GPS that makes it easier for families, staff and community members to find the right help for them.
