Heritage Lakes 3rd graders have been exploring the world of inventors and scientists, and next up, they’ll learn how food travels from farm to table. Recently, they got a special treat: a virtual interview with retired agricultural scientist Susan Rice, whose 40-year career included pioneering work in plant tissue culture, wheat engineering and insect-resistant corn.
